I consider it a great privilege, To actively associate with Paul Provence's "The Living Circle:" international children's sculpture project, and I give my wholehearted recommendation toward its artistic excellence and integrity of design. My many years of professional study, performance and experience, as a dancer and choreographer, allowed me to impart a strong sense of vitality and innovation to Paul Provence's early sculpture/dance, choreography workshops, (at Alvin Ailey's studio III facilities,) which I personally assisted in, during his anatomical studies of eleven top Joffery Ballet dancer / models, in New York City. I immediately , grasped the significance of Paul's "The Living Circle" children's sculpture, as a definitive fine arts piece, chronicling the entire evolution of dance. By way of explanation, each child reveals movements and esthetic line principals, which are true to various dimensions of primitive dance, folk dance, jazz, modern dance and classical ballet forms. This is a remarkable artist, and an outstanding sculpture, that will intrigue, delight and surprise all who see and interact, with its brilliant, (viewer participation) open design, of individual bronze children, within a circular dance of freedom. I look forward to Paul Provence's completed fine arts masterpiece - "The Living Circle" - also his impressionistic paintings and other future works by this multi-talented artist and friend. |
